A little about me & my healing practice...
I have been working in the healing arts for most of my life, beginning first with my children and family, then others, in geriatric nursing at long term care facilities, and as a private caregiver. When my kids were growing up I used a combination of herbalism, homeopathy, healing touch, and a myriad of collected "wise women" knowledge and practices.
Once my children were grown, I began to pursue my passion of assisting others on their healing journey, seeking training and education in traditional, as well as some less traditional complementary healing modalities. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Metaphysical Science and became a Certified Metaphysical Practitioner and a Licensed Minister. I studied the Japanese healing art of Reiki became a Reiki Master/Teacher, Karuna Reiki Master/Teacher, Sound Healer & Therapist, and a practicing Shaman. Launching an intensive study into herbal remedies and herbal healing, I opened the Green Witch Apothecary.
My studies have led me to seek qualified teachers, and courses in six states throughout the US, as well as in the Sacred Valley of Peru, and in Canada. I am always seeking new opportunities for knowledge, and training to expand the horizons of my healing practice.
My other passions in life are (in no particular order) spending time with my kids and grandkids, hanging out with the critters in my small menagerie, (currently 2 dogs, 2 parakeets, a parrot, domestic fancy rats, and 10 fish.) I love gardening, camping, kayaking, walking in Nature, hugging trees, (aging hippie), reading, dancing, music, and meditation.
I have lived in Vermont's beautiful Northeast Kingdom for most of my life, and also have a small place in Sedona, AZ as well. I feel like I have the best of two worlds...the mountainous, forested beauty of rural northern Vermont, and the vastly different beauty of the Arizona desert landscape. Having the two, 2,600 miles apart, gives me the opportunity to indulge one of my other passions...long solo road trips! Well, not truly solo, I usually have the dogs, and the parrot with me. It can get interesting!
